A pretty antique Suffragette necklace from the Edwardian era decorated with four Peridot beads and three fabulous heart droppers set with Amethysts and Pearls with a bow crowned on top.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The necklace is all 18ct Yellow Gold and fitted with a hinge clasp. It looks gorgeous around the neck and is a wonderful representation of the movement.
