Antique Edwardian period Top Quality Lace Pin Brooch in 18ct Gold set with a single amethyst enclosed within a halo of Seed Pearls.
A Gorgeous piece of fine jewellery, the Amethyst being mounted within a coronet gallery clasp setting is of a Royal Purple Hue contrasting beautifully with the creamy, golden blush seed pearls, as can be seen from the photographs and video provided the brooch is undamaged, well preserved, and in original condition more or less.
Measuring 2.2 cm x 1.7 cm the reverse to the brooch is intact with hinged pin and clasp fitting in perfect working order, no makers marks or otherwise are present to the gold frame to the brooch (save for an old jewellers witness mark) but it has been tested to 18ct gold.
The Brooch dates to circa 1905.
